A solution-oriented problem solver and intentional designer. Through my work, my purpose is to create unique yet practical experiences by meeting people where they are.
In constant search for new opportunities to design, I aspire to leave an impact left unnoticed by the common eye. Yet, recognized and remembered by people's emotional core, as good design always is.
My journey began as a student at UC San Diego, when I was first exposed to the world of design. During my time in pursuit of my degree in Cognitive Science Design and Interaction, my passion for human-centered experiences lit a flame to become an endeavor so much more meaningful than initially thought.
A strong foundation in planning and implementing design. Through class projects I have acquired a solid understanding of the empathetic, investigative, and creative skills required to strategically solve design problems.
Full proficiency in Figma skills. From creating low-fidelity wire-frames to interactive high-fidelity prototypes. This is the tool I have designed most with.
I have experience in Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Illustrator. In that order, I have the most proficiency. I have created documentary-style short videos, motion design, and a few graphics for marketing campaigns.
I have developed a couple projects including a website and an email campaign.
Through my experience in both school and work, I have always been one to take the initiative whether it be training a new coworker in the juice bar, or stepping up to manage a class group into roles and tasks. Keeping a balance of looking at the bigger picture and honing in on the small but meaningful details.
You can never expect what you don't communicate. That's a maxim I bring with me in all areas of my life. And I've learned through teamwork, how the effectiveness of communication makes or breaks a work flow.
Just as communication is foundational to an effective workflow, organization of assets, tasks and time are essential for productivity and set a team up for success.
My biggest motivator and goal for pursuing design, is to communicate complex information into digestible content for masses of people. With the amount of data we have access to, it is a disservice to humanity if information is withheld from the public.
In an industry that often centers technology over humanity, we lose sight of the human experience. My interest in industrial design and architecture started with doodles on my notebooks in high school and has grown into a deeper quest for experience design in the context of our physical reality.
One of my first modes of creativity is video creation. I was ten years old when I edited a slideshow video of my family's vacation to Mexico. It was the first time I spend hours consecutively creating and honing in on my story-telling skills.
